Feast for 10 by Cathryn Falwell
A beautifully illustrated book of collage in which you will count from one to 10 (twice) as a black family goes grocery shopping and prepares dinner.
ALA Booklist describes it as “a joyful celebration of family and food” – and it is!
There is one number featured on each page, set out by numeral (e.g. “1”) as well as in words. There are a handful of words per page “two pumpkins per pie” which directly relate to the illustrations.
A particularly pleasing book.
